Iran… again with Iran?
I love Bush, no really, I do. He’s like that retarded kid that you just want to hug after he finishes 5th in the 100 yard dash at the special olympics. The only problem is, nobody wants to hug you when you destroy an economy, obliterate any sort of positive foreign policy or foreign relationship, led your country down the rabbit hole of Iraq killing thousands of our own soldiers and thousands of Iraqi resistors, and thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens. AND, now he’s still pushing an agenda of aggression toward Iran that can only end up in another immensely expensive (both in terms of human and capital) campaign against another sovereign nation. Rhetoric from the top asshole in the state: (click here for full article)
Bush’s criticism of Iran came Wednesday during a news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in Jerusalem. Bush is in the region to encourage the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians.
Bush called the incident “a very dangerous gesture” by Iran and warned the Islamic republic against any escalation.
“We have made it very clear, and they know our position, and that is: There will be serious consequences if they attack our ships, pure and simple.”
“My advice to them is: Don’t do it.”
Does anybody else find it ironic that this dipshit is proselytizing his aggressive agenda against Iran at a news conference in the middle-east during a mission of Israeli-Palestinian peace? He probably doesn’t see any issue with that, because Iranians are not Palestinians and he’s mixing up his legacy items. 1) Middle-east peace, no problem in one year (check), and 2) Attack another country of “brown” people, ok let’s choose… Iran (check)
First it was the bullshit about the nukes in Iran, including rhetoric from Tony Blair… now it is this little incident in the Persian Gulf with some tiny Iranian boats that acted aggressively toward our ships. Wah wah, the little boats drove towards us fast and made us cry. What a bunch of pussies, here we are 13,000 miles from the US east coast driving a group of heavily armed warships through a 20 mile straight (Hormuz) in the Persian Gulf that is something like, I dunno, ZERO miles from Iran. And we’re calling foul when some little speed boats get close and some asshole yells something over the radio? And THIS is what we worry about? Get some perspective bitches:

gulf of tonkin again anyone? lying sacks o shit. these guys are out of their fucking minds if they think attacking iran is a smart thing. in 20 years, if left alone, they’ll probably be our best allies.
If I lived in UAE, Syria, Iraq, etc. I may be concerned with Iran.
I don’t. I’m more worried about Canadia.
Get some perspective? How’s this for perspective. Ever heard of the U.S.S. Cole?

Also, for some perspective on this story.
The three U.S. warships — cruiser USS Port Royal, destroyer USS Hopper and frigate USS Ingraham — were headed into the Persian Gulf through the Straits of Hormuz on what the U.S. Navy called a routine passage inside international waters when they were approached by five small high-speed vessels thought to be from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy.

I understand the whole hate W thing, really I do. But how does one reasonably consider him the aggressor here when it was they who came at us, we who prepared to defend but allowed to retreat, and Bush who simply said “don’t do it again”? If peace is truly the name of the game, shouldn’t the rant be directed at the aggressor?
And also, for some perspective on the Iranian nuke thing, it was alleged that they had nuclear power plants and were attempting to enrich the plutonium. I don’t believe this administration ever said they had nukes.
That is good perspective. However, what this adminstration has done is blow away any ability for most Americans (I suppose all people) to believe them and to believe that the information that is being disseminated from them is anything but straight propaganda. In other words, the Iranians have a propoganda machine, we have a really well oiled propoganda machine.
I meant a lot of disrespect to Bush not to the folks on the Cole, but the Cole was in dock in Yemen not in transit.
The title of the article from Bush (I should have included it) was “Bush calls Iran threat to world peace”.
I guess I could have just said “Fuck Bush”, but I figured I would add some more stuff to it
Fucking iran, the size of ohio with the population of massachusettes, yeah, they want war with us. Fresh fish, steve’s gotta pull that hook out of his mouth. Fool me once shame on you, fool me five thousand times I’m a fucking idiot that deserves to live under totalitarian rule. Know your enemies.
TV: Didn’t good ole Bushy-poo say: “There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again”
That’s gotta be on youtube, I’m going to post it tomorrow if I can find it… i’m too fucking lazy to do it right now, besides, all that porn ain’t gonna watch itself.
Like Ted, I thought of the Gulf of Tonkin when I saw the little speedboats. Dubya probably doesn’t know much about that and what happened afterward. He was too busy trying to stay out of active duty.
Actually, I’ve set my computer on automatic to watch porn to it’s heart content to give me time to do other stuff.
[…] mentioned this in the comments of yesterday’s post about Iran, I was able to track down a youtube clip of Bushy-poo making his infamous “Fool me […]
Lol at the hook in the mouth. No, my point was, it’s simple to jump on the bash Bush wagon. It is slightly (not much, but slightly) more difficult to come up with legitimate reasons to bash him. I am not a Bush fan, but I am a fan of accuracy and fact. And for a fact, I don’t personally think Bush was wrong here. Now, had I simply jumped on the wagon and bashed anyway, then I would have the hook in my mouth.
Notice, you contradict the fact that these people made a threatening act with the opinion that a place the size of Ohio with the population of Massachusetts wouldn’t want war with us? Yet an organization the size of Al Qaeda did. Unless, of course, you have swallowed the hook so deeply that you subscribe to some 9/11 fanatical conspiracy that is.
