News in the US is not news, its a commercial like anything else. They sell you juicy headlines to get viewers. CNN caters to liberals, telling you what you want to hear. fox news caters to conservatives, telling you what you want to hear. Neither tells the true and unbiased version. Kind of messed up. When the Iraq Invasion started in 2003, I was in Spain, staying with a local family. We got our news two ways: 1. Conversations with our host family in the little Spanish that I could muster. The older son in the family told me (in 2003, before the invasion), that there would be a lot of suicide bombings if America invaded. 2. CNN international and BBC in English on TVs in our hotel rooms when we traveled around Spain on weekends. When we conversed with folks back home, we had to ask, "What the fuck is America doing?" According to the news sources that we had available, there was absolutely no justification for an invasion of Iraq. So, yeah, if Americans can get another, external newsource, things will look very different. Maybe BBC even mentions Ron Paul. No surprise.
