What is this word, Rain?
An amazing thing happened on the way to work today in the northern suburbs of
I know this sounds crazy please put down the phone, do not call the authorities just hear me out. Moisture actually collected in the sky and formulated some sort of water droplet that fell directly down upon the earth.  Was this a gift from heaven? Crom would certainly not offer any alms to the wretched humans on earth, it must be another more benevolent god. I quickly checked to see if the “sky water†was acidic, it didn’t appear to melt the car or the structures around me, that was good. I found it difficult to see out of the windshield of my car as the “sky water†was distorting my view, I stopped the car and gazed upward wondering if this was truly a gift or if this was a sign of the end-times.
I over-heard another person gazing up at the “sky water†refer to it as “rainâ€.  This sounds like a made up ridiculous word, but I suppose it will have to do until the universities and government officials can classify the phenomenon and assign a proper name to it. I’m leaning toward “Skwaterâ€, although it sounds a bit like what you do to relieve yourself outdoors.  I will keep you posted regarding this Skwater event.

I hope you got several inches. Skywater reminds me of Firewater and that reminds me of a couple of drunk Indians in a bar with me in Thailand in ‘63. Precipitation is an ambiguous, scientific-sounding word, but that reminds me of Procrastination, which I’m doing right now.
Let me use this space to say: Dick Cheney, shut the hell up, you stupid son of a bitch!
I’m from southeast alaska and it rains almost every day. I used to think I’d love some sun but any more than a week without rain and I miss it big time. Good luck!
