McCain puts McFoot in mouth
Oops (he) did it again… oh wait, that was the other “news” this evening. It looks like McCain stepped in it again, this time while he was stumping to the religious right he stated that he would prefer a Christian President, pissing off non-Christian groups. McCain had this to say in the following CNN.com excerpt (click here for full article):
On Sunday night, McCain sought to clarify his remarks while campaigning in Hollis, New Hampshire. “What I do mean to say is the United States of America was founded on the values of Judeo-Christian values, which were translated by our founding fathers which is basically the rights of human dignity and human rights,” he said.
“I believe that anyone can be president of the United States of any faith,” McCain said, saying he was angry his remarks were misinterpreted but “there’s nothing I can do about it.”
Sure there is John, you can start by stop pandering…

The good part of the lonnnng runup to the 2008 election is that there is plenty of time for the candidates to accidentally tell us how they really think about things. McCain will now be hounded by the thought police who will take time out from scanning rooftops on Google Earth.
Good point, and this is material that just drops out of the sky, they are making it to easy.
